Acting in the wildlife area
The wildlife area became Apple class’ deep, dark forest as we acted out a sound story unveiling different animals and sounds! We all enjoyed the repetition of the poem. |
All the fun of the fair!
We took a trip to explore the fair and watch it being set up. We then used our experiences and the photographs we took to write fair poems using nouns and adjectives. |
Amazing art!
We used the experience of our walk around the fair and our photographs to create observational drawings using different mediums. We used crayons, chalks and paints to create pictures of some of our favourite rides! |
Managing money!
In numeracy we have been looking at money. We have been learning to recognise the coins and we have been using our adding skills to create different amounts of money. |
Sounds Interesting!
Apple class went on a sound walk to discover sounds inside and outside of our school. We then brainstormed some adjectives to describe the sounds and used these in our poem based on ‘The sound collector’ by Roger McGough. |
The adventures of Barnby Bear
This is George or Georgina Barnaby Bear! Barnaby Bear likes to take trips home with children each night and have amazing adventures! We then write about Barnaby’s exciting activities in the adventure book! |
