PHOTO GALLERY - Commando Challenge Autumn 2007

Staff from Westover Green took part in a gruelling Commando Challenge event to raise money for charity.

Nine members of staff started off from Bicton Arena in Exeter and took on the Royal Marines course, which sees teams complete a four-mile run and three-mile assault course.

They had to swim through water tunnels and survived bogs full of waist-high mud in training routinely undertaken by the marines.

Teacher Karen Hole said - "it was great - we loved it. The course was tough and very muddy but there was a great sense of achievement"

Westover staff, cheered on by friends and family, raised £250 towards the charity Gift Aid
