We are very proud of our school Library.  It is a bright and stimulating place to be and as you can see from the photos, very popular at lunchtimes!  We are gradually building our stock of books and hope eventually to be able to loan CDs and DVDs.

Children can borrow books during the lunchtime sessions and hopefully next term we will be opening the library after school so that parents of younger children can come into school and choose a book together.

Whole class work also takes place in the library with the children developing their Library skills.

We have 10 student librarians who take charge of the Library at lunchtimes (with adult supervision).  They all enjoy this responsibility and we have a long list of children who would like to be Student Librarian one day!

The children are encouraged to request books that they would like the Library to buy and we try to accommodate all their wishes.  We are also planning a competition each half term for both KS1 and KS2 with certificates and prizes for the winners.
